Hello! I’m Amy Smith, one of the newbie member hosts at Hub Islington and already, on day one, I met a member from Hub Melbourne, Brad Krauskopf, who was halfway through his mission to visit as many hubs as possible. My first experience of Hub Islington was at a Sexy Salad and was immediately converted! Everyone I met was told about this amazingly friendly and productive workspace.
I have strong links to Islington, as well as being born and bred in Holloway
(just down the road from the Angel), I work as journalist/theatre editor for the local paper, the Islington Tribune
and am Press Officer for an Islington-based arts charity, Rowan Arts
(who last week were voted Charity of the Year at the Camden and Islington Business Awards). I am also currently editing the ‘Community Lover’s Guide to Islington
’, that will celebrate a selection of community-centred projects in the borough.
Part of my role as a member host will be writing a weekly blog post about the different members at Hub Islington and sharing highlights of their exciting projects plus acting as an ‘Islington Ambassador’ to facilitate local partnerships.
If you would like to get in touch, drop into Hub Islington or email me on [email protected]
