AltGen & Co-Op UK launch Young Co-operatives Prize
It may only be January, but it already looks as though 2015 is shaping up to be a game-changer year for young and emerging social-entrepreneurs.
Our members, Altgen, have joined up with Co-operatives UK and ten university partners across the UK to launch the Young Co-operatives Prize.
Stop competing! Start co-operating! from AltGen on Vimeo.
The Young Co-operatives Prize is a six-month mentoring scheme with a £2000 prize for business minded and socially engaged young people. It is geared towards empowering students and graduates who wish to harness their entrepreneurial energy to create the sustainable economy of the future.
The prize is aimed at 18-29 year olds and will focus on developing the business knowledge and experience through workshops that unite young people in growing their own co-operatives from the ground up.
Details on how to apply for the prize can be found on the website – including information on workshops, hands-on business advice and eligibility.
