Farewell to Member Host – Chris Gibbins!
Hello (and farewell) fellow Hubbers!
I hail from New Zealand. If you drilled a hole directly through the earth from London, you’d pop out in the Pacific Ocean somewhere ‘not too far’ from where I grew up. So I’ve come a long way but it’s well worth the journey.
Since November last year, I’ve been supporting Debbie (Head of Partnerships) with partnerships development work. My background is in the specialised world of prospect research. Essentially this is like being a business development analyst for non-profits. One activity I am regularly involved in, for example, is generating and qualifying fundraising leads.
I’m a big fan of co-working spaces, primarily because they offer a solution to the isolation issue facing so many small enterprises and independent professionals. I’ve really enjoyed my time at Hub Islington and I’m sad to say goodbye. It’s a great space with a great team, and I’ve been heartened by the friendliness and generosity of the people I’ve met. This is a special place.
If you have any fundraising-related questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. The Hub team have my contact details. If I don’t know the answer, I may know of someone who does!
Oh, one last thing… I get quite excited on holiday and sometimes I just can’t contain the urge to jump.
Here’s the evidence:
