Feedback & Falafel: Curating social change

Feedback & Falafel: Curating social change

There is an art to making social change happen. If you want to master it, you need to let go of thinking that you are the one in charge. And you will be challenged to think in ways that most people find impossible to imagine.

Isabel Carlisle used to be an exhibitions curator at the Royal Academy of Arts in London until she felt the call to do something more ambitious that brought the arts and social change together. In 2006, she delivered the Festival of Muslim Cultures that took place all across Britain for a year. Now she lives in Devon and is setting up the Bioregional Learning Centre that is curating a regional shift towards regenerative economies and ecologies.

She will share her insights into whole-systems change and ask: ‘What would you most like to learn, and how, to help you succeed as a change agent?’

Hosts will take falafel orders (£4 regular/£5 large) by 12 noon.
