Feedback & Falafel: The Phonebox Project

Feedback & Falafel: The Phonebox Project

A little note about your startup…
We’ve been working on The Phonebox Project, off and on for about a year now. It began as part of the London Architecture Festival in 2014 and looks at ways of reintegrating the disused phoneboxes into the social fabric of the city yet again.
We’ve worked with Westminster and Camden Council, then with Solarbox, then things have been on a bit of a back-burner as the project relies heavily on the small grants we’ve received and we’ve been too tiny to pursue it at the speed I’d have loved for it to grow.
Feedback…
There’s a new interest in the project given the MANY proposals we’ve written over the course of time, some folks in the international community looking at urban space reuse have begun to look at what we’re doing, the guys at The Sound and Image Archive in Brussels have invited us to present at their big conference in September and I’m strangely wanting to work longer hours!
I’d love to introduce what we’ve been working on and perhaps use some of the time to bounce around ideas and perhaps brainstorm a bit about where we could take it next.
