Get Set For Growth: Money Matters
One of the biggest challenges to growth for most businesses, big or small, is managing the finances. Keeping good financial records, understanding the plethora of funding options, and making the best business case – ‘de-risking’ the proposition as it is sometimes inelegantly described – can be daunting especially for those without a professional financial background.
This free session at Impact Hub Islington on June 24 from 12:30-14:30 demystifies the finance and funding process, giving you the clarity and confidence to to approach potential funders to help you achieve your growth objectives.
In this session we’ll cover:
- Developing a funding strategy
- Making a business case
- Improving your funding proposition
- Choosing the right tools for the job
- And why a ‘Campari & Ice’ is essential to secure the funding you want!
About the speaker:
Gregg Harding joined Get Set for Growth from the high performing Outset Finance project, where he helped nearly 300 new and existing business-owners to obtain funding to start, sustain and grow their enterprises. Through mentoring and advising on financials, business plans and management, Gregg and his Outset colleagues’ efforts resulted in the creation of almost 100 jobs and £1.1 million in funding for clients (the majority of whom had previously been declined by the mainstream banks).
During his early career in business and asset finance, and later as a financial adviser, Gregg supported numerous businesses, equipping them to continue trading through the tough economic climate – experience that he later brought to bear as corporate Finance Director for a leading Cornish business.
