JoshMacAlister 31st March – Josh MacAlister, Founder and CEO, Frontline.Josh founded Frontline after teaching in a Greater Manchester school through the Teach First scheme and recognising the importance of great social work outside the school walls. While the scheme faced strong criticism from some, Josh, 27, has managed to secure government support and recruit over 100 participants in Frontline’s first intake.
DavidCohen 19th May – David Cohen, Campaigns Editor, The Evening Standard David is best known for the award-winning campaign he runs for the Evening Standard. ‘The Dispossessed’ drew the public’s attention to the vast inequalities that exist between Londoners. The campaign precipitated The Dispossessed Fund in July 2010 that is now worth more than £8.3 million.
SarahEllis 26th May – Sarah Ellis, Head of Corporate Responsibility, Sainsbury’s PLCSarah is one of the foremost executives in corporate social responsibility in the country. She leads Sainsbury’s corporate responsibility programme, spearheading the company’s 20×20 Sustainability Plan to fulfil 20 environmental and social commitments by 2020. She has been recognised by Management Today as one of the top 35 women under 35,
DavidRobinson 16th June – David Robinson OBE, Founder, Community LinksDavid founded the award-winning community organisation, Community Links, based in Newham, East London. In his role as advisor of the charity he now leads the Early Action Task Force. David also founded and co-chairs Shift, a social enterprise that designs consumer products to address social problems.
