The incredible possibilities of digital collaboration

The incredible possibilities of digital collaboration

Digital technology has and still is changing our work in pretty fundamental ways. Some of them are very challenging – the compulsive connectivity and anxiety that can come with it, the loss of work through new technologies, the insecurity of finding work online, the difficulties of communication… But the digital world also offers incredible possibilities for radical new forms of collaboration.

At this next event in the what is ‘good’ work? series, we will hear from people who have used digital technologies to bring people together in amazing new ways – and learn from their experience of grappling with the inevitable challenges that come with it.

You will have the opportunity to spend time with each of these wonderful people in small groups (10 people max), hear about their experiences and ask your burning questions:

  • Kirstie Wielandt from Greenpeace will share what virtual tools her organisation uses to build low-carbon kick-ass teams across the globe that never meet in person
  • Laura Saxton and Jo Hunter from 64 Million Artists will talk about how they are turning 64 million people in Britain into artists online
  • Oliver Sylvester-Bradley from the Open Coop will explain what platform cooperatives are, how to build them and what fabulous things people can achieve when they pool resources online

Chaired by Debbie Warrener, leadership trainer for changemakers (www.innerleadershipouterchange.com), artist and chief paint thrower (www.colourthecity.org).

We will also have a peer-to-peer coaching circle where you can bring in your own questions, challenges and experiences. And there will be snacks and plenty of time to chat!

RSVP here – there are 5 free tickets for Hubbers

No one will be turned away for lack of funds – just email us ([email protected]) and we’ll work something out 🙂

The event will take place on the ground floor, which has a step free automatic door. The venue also has accessible toilets, which are gender neutral. If you need any assistance to access the venue, please email [email protected] in advance so we can make sure someone is there to help.
