Open Project Night is a response to a local need. The community has limited access to affordable, accessible spaces available to them for the purposes they wish to use them for, whether that’s to formally convene or work on projects and ideas.
By providing a professional space, without prescribed use, in an area of London that is too often prohibitively expensive, we hope to facilitate a space to help generate action, empower residents to shape how we use local spaces, and connect people both within the community and with wider networks.
Through the convening of people, active hosting and facilitation of space for innovation and creativity, Open Project Night can produce a wonder of local initiatives that shake things up and allow for real change. That’s why our Open Project Night involves ‘pitch nights’ where people have the opportunity to gain access to networks and funders they may not otherwise have.
