Hub Youth Academy

Around the world young people are asking how they can reduce environmental pollution, improve working conditions, influence public policy and disrupt dysfunctional societal systems. Hub Youth Academy is one place to start.

Hub Youth Academy will connect young and socially conscious individuals (18-25) to real careers in social enterprise. It will provide innovative social enterprise training focused on action and collaboration, followed by membership to Impact Hub Islington, a globally connected network of workspaces for socially conscious entrepreneurs.

You don’t need an idea of what your business will be, but you do need to be smart, passionate and proactive about making the world a better place.

It will be hard work – you will be given a lot to learn but also room to test and work on your own ideas. That’s what’s so great about Impact Hub, being surrounded by social entrepreneurs just like you, doing something in the real world.

Our faculty includes experts from Free:Formers, specialists in digital education; New Economics Foundation, a think tank focusing on economics ‘as if people and the planet mattered’, and Numbers 4 Good who work to make finance serve social and environmental good. Our programme advisors include Sian Prime director of MA in Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship at Goldsmiths and Mark Spokes professor of social entrepreneurship at HULT International Business School.

Hub Youth Academy runs full time from 14-25th April 2014 with membership to Impact Hub Islington for one year after.
